Two weeks ago, the **Canton Rotary Club** had the honor of participating in the Van Zandt County Fair Spelling Bee—and what an incredible event it was! 📚🐝

We are so proud of every student who stepped up, took the mic, and truly *spelled their hearts out*. It takes courage, preparation, and confidence to compete, and each of these students represented their schools so well!

The Canton Rotary Club’s 3rd Annual Purse Bingo is coming up on July 23rd, and we’re inviting local businesses and individuals to partner with us as event sponsors! 🎉

This fun-filled evening helps support local causes, including scholarships for local students, the local food bank, and other community needs. Your sponsorship makes a direct impact right here in our community. 💙

Today we celebrate a season of hope, renewal, and new beginnings. Just like spring brings fresh blooms and brighter days, Easter reminds us of the power of faith, kindness, and community.

We are so grateful for each of you who helps make our community stronger, more connected, and full of heart. Whether you’re spending today with family, friends, or enjoying a quiet moment of reflection, we hope your day is filled with joy, peace, and a little bit of sunshine.

Last week, we switched things up a bit and had the pleasure of hosting the Martins Mill Students of the Month! 🎉

They were on spring break during our regular meeting, but we didn’t want them to miss out on being recognized—we’re so glad we could still celebrate them!

Please join us in congratulating Victoria Jordan and Madison Damuth 👏 We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and commitment you both have shown!

In addition, we were honored to hear from Mike Patton with Children’s Village. 💛 Children’s Village has been serving children and families for over 40 years by providing safe, stable, and nurturing environments during times of crisis. They offer residential care and are expanding into foster care services, working to connect children with loving homes in their own communities whenever possible.

Their mission focuses on keeping siblings together, supporting foster families with training and resources, and helping children heal from trauma while building stronger futures. They also provide ways for the community to get involved—whether through fostering, volunteering, or supporting local families in need.

Thank you to Children’s Village for the incredible work you do in our community!
