The canonization cause for Servant of God Rhoda Wise crossed another hurdle after formal documents that outline her life, heroic virtues, and holiness were submitted to the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Causes of Saints.

Wise — who was born in 1888 in Cadiz, Ohio, and died in 1948 in Canton, Ohio — was a laywoman and a mystic who received visions of Jesus Christ and St. Thérèse of Lisieux. In 1939, she reported a miraculous healing of her stomach cancer and a wound that doctors told her was incurable.

Rhoda Wise Annual Mass
The Annual Mass for the Cause of Beatification of Rhoda Wise will be celebrated by Bishop David Bonnar at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Canton tomorrow (July 7th) at 6 PM.
The Rhoda Wise House will be open July 7th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Parking for July 7th Mass for the Cause of Beatification for Rhoda Wise
Due to limited parking at Saint Peter’s, overflow parking for the July 7th Mass will be available at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist.

The Basilica is located one block west at 627 McKinley Avenue NW, Canton, OH 44703.

You can either walk to Saint Peter’s from the Basilica or take a shuttle that will be provided.

Parking will also be available across the street from Saint Peter's at CommQuest Services located at 601 & 625 Cleveland Avenue NW, Canton, OH 44702.
