Fulton County Rural Transit

Fulton County Rural Transit FCRT is currently staffed by six highly qualified and well trained drivers. The drivers are trained to serve all populations. FCRT is a drug-free workplace.

The mission of Fulton County Rural Transit is to provide safe, affordable and cost-effective public transportation to the citizens of Fulton County, Illinois, with an emphasis on services to the economically disadvantaged, seniors and the disabled. Each driver has a good driving record, has successfully completed a rigorous background investigation, and participates in random drug testing. Additio

nally, drivers must attend safety training on a regular basis. To assist the drivers with scheduling are two dispatchers. These dispatchers are well acquainted with Fulton County and surrounding areas. They are able to schedule the movement of the vehicles to best meet the need of the riders.

Fulton County Rural Transit is accepting applications for the position of part-time driver.
Requirements include:
• Passing an initial alcohol and drug test prior to employment, and randomly thereafter.
• Passing background checks.
• Passing all necessary IDOT and Secretary of State driving tests.
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
Experience preferred but not required driving a 14- passenger van or larger.
FCRT offers Paid time off and Life Insurance. Salary range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.

The Canton Police Department is looking for assistance in identifying the owner of the suspect vehicle and the suspects involved in the theft of catalytic converters from Fulton County Rural Transport buses. The theft occurred on 04/01/22 at approximately 0400-0500 hours. ​

This is the latest in a string of catalytic converter thefts in Canton and surrounding areas.

If anyone has any information on stolen catalytic converters they are encouraged to call the Canton Police Department or Crimestoppers.
