The Shelter Pet Studio The Shelter Pet Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping pets find forever homes through photography & other media. Sharing is caring 💞🐾

Partnering with other organizations, primarily Stark County Dog Warden in Canton OH, we work to end pet homelessness. The Shelter Pet Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping pets find their forever homes through professional photography, videography, and social media. Our team of passionate volunteers creates beautiful, genuine portraits that showcase each pet’s unique personality—offering a view far different from the scared or anxious faces they wear in a kennel. Since our founding, we’ve helped hundreds of pets put their best paw forward, connecting them with loving families. Our mission goes beyond just photography; we partner with other nonprofits to promote their adoptable pets and amplify their efforts. We believe that only by working together can we truly tackle pet homelessness in our community. Thank you for helping us continue this important work! This is how Susie spends her days. 💔 she is so frightened that she tucks her whole body into a corner of her kennel to be as small as possible. 😭 She will cautiously come out to go for walks with the volunteers but even outside she is very cautious. She walks nicely on leash and should be considered a flight risk. She does seem to have interest in other dogs so perhaps a canine friend would help her gain confidence. At this time, she is in need of a low traffic, adult only home. If you can help her, please come meet her soon - she needs you. 🥺

Please bring all family members to meet her - dogs on leash, cats in hard carrier - to make sure it’s a match.

The adoptable pups of The Dogs at the Stark County Dog Warden are SO grateful for the volunteer time and to see the sunshine! With play, walks, treats and love, these great dogs showed their happy faces. Of course, they’d be much happier in their forever home!

Hippy LOVES treats, but you know what he’d love even more? A FOREVER HOME! 🏡❤️ This happy, playful boy has been waiting 168 DAYS for a family to call his own! 💔 Hippy is around 2 years old and 45 pounds of pure fun! 😎

Hippy loves to run, play and explore! Hiking, walks, backyard adventures? He’s your guy! 🐾 And if there’s water involved, even better! Rivers, ponds, pools… he loves them ALL! 💦 He’s looking for an active family who can keep up with his energy and love for adventure.

Besides having the cutest smoosh face and BEST head tilt, Hippy seems to be housebroken, has potential with other dogs and is eager to learn with the help of treats! He met a cat once and was a bit too excited so a kitty-free home would probably be best.

After 168 days, this groovy guy is ready to trade shelter life for a family of his own. His biggest wish might be all the food 🦴, but a forever home filled with love and adventures would be pretty great too! ❤️ Bring the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet happy Hippy! 🐾

Princess Rachel is a lovely, happy girl who will make an amazing companion. She LOVES to snuggle and gives hugs and kisses. She seems to like other dogs and is an all around good girl. She is not good at catching treats but she does like to eat them. 😆 She is about 1 year old and 45 pounds.

Happy Murph Monday, to all who celebrate!

This week we are highlighting his incredible photogenic face! He has been available long enough to have 3 photo shoots with us and each time he gives us amazing results. 🥹 He comes out of his kennel hot but once he gets some exercise, he settles nicely. He already knows lots of tricks and is ready to learn more. 🐕

Murph is now the longest resident and has been waiting since April 13th - 189 days - over 6 months - for a home. 🏡 He is 2 years old, and 48 pounds of energy and fun! He loves to play with toys, has potential to be housebroken, and is wicked smart. 🧠 With a bit of training (he comes with free sessions!) and time, Murph will be an absolute gem! 💎

Please bring your whole family to meet him (dogs on leash, cats in a hard carrier) to see if Murph is the guy you’ve been looking for. ❤️

Patrick has his flannel on and is ready for apple picking, hiking, and bonfire nights.

At around 2 years old and 44 lbs, Patrick is one of the sweetest boys you’ll meet. He was so timid when he first arrived that it took him a little time to realize he was safe and learn to trust. 🥺

Now that he’s opened up, Patrick wants nothing more than to be close to his people. He’ll happily climb into your lap for snuggles and soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. 🥰 He loves people and seems happiest when someone is right there reminding him that he’s safe and loved.

Patrick has such a gentle, loving soul and deserves a family who will continue building his confidence and give him all the cuddles he’s been missing. ❤️

Bring the whole family (dogs too, cats in a hard sided carrier) for a meet and greet and see if Patrick belongs in your lap and your home! 🏡🐾

*~* SUNDAY SENIOR SPOTLIGHT *~*

Hamilton is a young senior of about 8 years old and is looking urgently for a home to rest his head 🥰 He came in at 76 pounds but is losing weight from the stress. He has so far lost 16 pounds. 💔 He also came in strong on leash but has been learning to walk nicely with the help of volunteers. He seems to have lived most of his life outdoors 🥺 and hasn’t had the necessary socialization to be friends with other pups. He seems to prefer to be an only pet to be spoiled and loved.

Hamilton is a sweet boy not liking the commotion of the pound so we’re hoping to get him adopted quickly. He knows some commands and LOVES treats (watch your fingers!) He also knows “paw” (shake) and is ready to learn more. We know he’s a hard dog to place but we are so hopeful for him. 🙏🏼 please share so he can find someone who can give him a chance.

If you are interested in Hamilton, please bring all family members in to make sure everyone is happy ❤️ He will likely need to be an only pet.
