165. That’s how many days Vash has been waiting for someone to come and say they’d like to adopt him.. 5 and a half months.🥺 He is a great dog that wags his tail so fast, he could take off! He needs someone to give him a chance. He’s the best boy, even self entertaining with toys. ❤️

The many faces of Vash 🥰 Vash has now stepped into the unfortunate role of “Longest Resident” and we hope he doesn’t have to hold that title for long. He really needs a hero to step up for him🙏🏼 He is tired of spending so much time in his kennel and he yearns to get adopted. ❤️ He absolutely adores adoptable Hippy (also available for adoption) and they would probably enjoy a home together 😉 He arrived March 10th and has now been waiting 165 days to be chosen.

Boxer lovers - you NEED to meet Vash!! He is the king 👑 of head tilts and typical boxer personality. He is a happy, playful guy that seems interested in other dogs. 🐕 He would like to bounce out of the shelter and into a home soon so he can go on adventures. He is such a nice boy and volunteers say he walks nicely on leash. He also shows signs of being housebroken, going potty outside. After playing and walking, he enjoys being a lap dog and getting lots of love. He has a great balance of fun and relaxation and will be a great addition to most homes.

🌟 DeNIRO is a superstar! 🌟

This handsome boy is around 3 years old, 46 pounds, and an absolute gentleman. 💙 DeNIRO has quickly won the hearts of everyone he meets with his happy, social personality and all-around good-boy charm.

DeNIRO already knows basic commands, walks well on leash, and seems to genuinely enjoy spending time with people. 🥰 He’s friendly, well-mannered, and always ready to make a new friend. It’s hard not to smile when you’re around this guy!

DeNIRO has everything he needs to be the star of the show. Now he just needs a forever family to give him his big break! 🎬⭐

Did you see Baileys tv debut?!

Meet sweet old man, Bailey 🥹 Frosty faces have earned to be spoiled the rest of their lives and yet, here he sits. In his mature years, he is out of the crazy dog stage. He seems to be housebroken, holding his potty for long hours. He’s a super good boy, walking well on leash and knowing basic commands. He does need a feline free home and any pups will need to do a meet. He is particular of his furry friends but definitely loves his human friends.

The annual Clear the Shelters campaign runs from Aug. 1-31. More than 20 shelters in Northeast Ohio are teaming up with WKYC to help pets find a new home.

The Dogs at the Stark County Dog Warden is running a month long $40 adoption campaign to get the dogs into homes! There are all different sizes, colors, personalities and ages! Please come adopt your best friend!!

These are the 4 longest residents. They all arrived in MARCH or APRIL and are hoping they don’t have much longer. ❤️‍🩹

Longest resident is boxer mix Vash, who has now been waiting 163 (over 5 months!) days for a family! 🥺 he is a typical happy-go-lucky guy with energy to play. He loves his time out walking, running and playing ball. He came in with dog potential but his time in a kennel is making him feel a little crazy and is starting to become reactive. He will need a meet with any resident dogs. After he gets his energy out, he loves to show his affection and convince you he’s a lap dog 😆 Vash is about a year old and about 50 pounds.

ADOPTED!!!! In the 2nd longest resident spot is now CJ Skylar. He is an absolute hoot that loves to play with toys and chasing bacon flavored bubbles. 🫧 He is such a happy dude and always makes the most of his time out with volunteers. He’s a nice walker, loves to give hugs and kisses and will press a toy into your leg to engage tug. He is very loving and very fun - come scoop this guy up!! He has now been waiting 143 days for someone to choose him.

Murph is now the 3rd longest, having waited 129 days since he came to the shelter in April. This guy is such a photogenic dog and loves to ham it up for the camera. He seems to like other dogs which would help burn any excess energy. He is wicked smart and likes to use his brain (and nose!) for treats - he will even play “pick a hand”! He also loves toys - he picked one to show off during his under the sea photo shoot. He really needs a hero soon, he doesn’t do well with the long kennel hours. He is 2 years old and about 48 pounds.

Sliding into 4th longest is sweet gal Carnation who has been waiting 127 days. This girl is almost perfect - she seems housebroken, walks so nicely on leash, and gives gentle kisses. She loves ladies and just needs some time to warm up to men. Bring her some yummy treats to win her over and you’ll have her eating out of your hand. Volunteers rave about her gentle personality and amazing walking skills. She is 4 years old and about 47 pounds.

What does this far out dude have to do to get adopted?! Hippy thinks it would be groovy if you came to adopt him. ✌🏼 This happy boy is ready to leave shelter life behind him and spend the rest of his days throwing peace signs and loving his new family. He has the world’s best head tilt and cutest little smoosh to his face. His biggest wish is world peace. ☮️

Hippy seems to be housebroken and has potential with other dogs. He does pull a little on walks but with his love of treats, he will learn in no time. He loves his time out with volunteers and getting his exercise. Let’s get this fetching guy into a home soon! 😎

We just know there HAS to be someone out there for this girl!! Carnation is almost perfect, with one little hiccup - she tends to take a bit to trust men. BUT, with the free training session she comes with, Hopebridge RTA will help get her on the right track!

Calling all the ladies 💅🏼 As beautiful as her name suggests, Carnation 💐 is a gentle, loving girl who is seeking a female-centric home. While she doesn’t seem to like male humans (she does warm up, it just takes her a little), she definitely has potential with dogs - male and female 😆 During her walk, she was slow and gentle on leash, preferring to sniff all the smells. Although she is listed at 2 years old, she acts like an old soul. ❤️

Carnation arrived at the shelter scared and worried. She is starting to bloom and getting braver each day. She loves to give gentle kisses to her friends and enjoys her time out of her kennel. 😘 She has potential to be housebroken and with her love of treats, she will be easy to train.

This weeks is the beautiful Plum! This 3 year old gal is over the puppy shenanigans and more into companionship. She prefers a lap, lots of pets and belly rubs. She very much enjoys her time with volunteers - walking so nicely on leash, or just a romp in the yard. At 32 # she is a perfect size for adventures, patios and car rides! She keeps her kennel clean for long hours - a good indication of being housebroken. She is an incredible pal and we’re hoping her stay isn’t much longer.

Kermit’s Kritters came to the rescue again - and now they need YOUR help. Bob has a hernia that needs repaired, a neuter, nasty teeth and a cherry eye to repair - that’s if his heart murmur doesn’t hinder it! They will need some $$ to help cover his vet costs!

I’m Bob, and I recently arrived from the fabulous folks at the Stark County Dog Warden. I have a very important announcement:

I am adorable. I am happy. I have absolutely no idea how expensive I am. 😂

Unfortunately, my rescue humans have discovered that I have a grade 5 heart murmur, so I need some extra medical attention. I also need a major dental cleaning because apparently my mouth has been running its own construction project. 🦷😂

Once the vet gives me the green light, I’ll also need to be neutered.

So basically, I showed up with a cute face and a VERY expensive to-do list. 😬💸

But look at me. 👀
Do you really think this face should have to worry about paying bills?!
