Do you like spending hot summer days outside? The hotter, the better? Days out gardening, walking, soaking up the sun?? ☀️ Neither does JJ! This guy is heat sensitive and overheats quickly - so if you prefer to stay inside with windows closed and A/C cranked, he’s your guy! He has been waiting 200 days today for a home that will love him back 🥺
JJ’s theme song would be “you’re my best friend” - because everyone is his best friend! He is such a happy guy despite his horrific past. When he arrived, he was emaciated, full of scabs in various forms of healing, and missing fur. His spirit was sad and broken. As he started to heal, he showed the true resilience of dogs - never angry at humans. Honestly, is the happiest when he is with volunteers and playing. He is said to be housebroken and seems to like other dogs.
JJ is ready to move out of the shelter and into a loving home. As always, please bring all family members to meet him (cats in a hard carrier) to make sure he’s the perfect fit. 🧩
Every dog comes with donated, free training sessions with local trainers: Cosmic K9 (2 sessions) and Hoperidge RTA (1 session). Adopters should research post-adoption decompression and the rule of 3s: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine and 3 months to start to feel at home..
