Please help us celebrate Brothers Doug Graham '86 (left) and Dr. Tim Fretwell '05 (right).
Doug graduated from Culver-Stockton College with course work for a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting in 1987 at U of Purdue-Calumet and Indiana University-Northwest.
Doug serves as Director of Enterprise Data Governance for Mercy, where he leads enterprise efforts focused on data governance, master data management, information protection, and AI governance.
A recognized leader in healthcare data strategy, Doug is passionate about helping organizations transform complex information into trusted assets that improve decision-making and patient outcomes. His career reflects a commitment to lifelong learning, collaborative leadership, and empowering others to succeed while navigating the evolving intersection of technology, data, and healthcare.
Doug calls O’Fallon, Missouri home and celebrates 40 years of marriage this year to his high school and ATO sweetheart, Sheila. He has three daughters and six grandchildren. He is immensely proud of each of them and they take up his spare time.
Doug’s greatest ATO accomplishment was what continues to be his goal. He feels confident that “he left it better than it was when he began”.
Doug said, "The 'Six pack attack' pledge class in 1982 proudly took ownership of several rooms in the house at the bottom of the hill and re-modeled them to make them better. ATO saw incoming pledge that were close to double in size to his own and the brotherhood continually got tighter through the years. Culver-Stockton got Doug the credentials he needed and ATO instilled servant leadership that results in success."
Tim earned numerous degrees including:
- Bachelors, Finance - Culver-Stockton College, 2005.
- Masters, Administration - Central Michigan University, 2009.
- Masters, Security Studies - Naval Postgraduate School, 2012.
- Masters, Global Supply Chain Management, University of Southern California, 2016.
- Doctorate, Organizational Change and Leadership, University of Southern California, 2020.
After graduating from C-SC, Tim, formerly of City of Canton, Missouri, was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he served for more than 20 years. His career took him around the world — leading Marines in a wide range of operational, leadership, and staff roles in combat and abroad. Retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel, Tim transitioned to the private sector and worked for Amazon, managing safety and environmental compliance before accepting his current role managing international logistics for Joby Aviation, the future of flying electric taxis.
Tim and his wife and children call Pebble Beach, California home, "After a career of moving every few years, we’re glad to have found our spot," Tim said.
Tim's favorite ATO accomplishment are "The friendships and leadership lessons that started at ATO Eta Omicron and carried me through more than 20 years of service. The values we lived in the fraternity, integrity, loyalty, and a genuine care for your brothers, turned out to be the same values the Marine Corps expected of its officers.
"ATO was my first real leadership lab, and I’m grateful for it. Our chapter’s active role in student government, volunteering in the community, and improving the campus were very rewarding. My pledge class was truly special, Beta Rho!"
