Former Morley resident, age 91, creates blue ribbon quilt

Bethany Poor Nelson, formerly of Morley who currently resides in Oswego, was recently awarded blue ribbons at the 2025 Oswego County Fair for some of her creative quilt-work.
The purple and gold pansy-bordered woven table runner was made with Phyllis Dumas at the Madrid Library.
The vibrant wall hanging was made in a Scrap Technique Class held in Rensselaer Falls and taught by Becky MacKellar. It was a mystery design, starting with a central 4 square piece and built out from there, following random instructions and using random scraps when it was your turn to pull them.
Bethany's family is proud to say her creative quilting abilities followed her to Oswego.
