The Climb is Calling
Twenty-five years ago, our profession was forever changed.
On September 11, 2001, 343 FDNY firefighters answered the call knowing only that people needed help. They climbed upward while thousands were trying to get out.
They never came home.
This September 5th, we climb for them.
The 2026 Patriot Day Memorial Stair Climb is almost here, and this year's event will be unlike anything we've ever experienced. Every step is taken in remembrance of the 343, in honor of every firefighter around the world who has since made the ultimate sacrifice, and for every family, friend, and survivor whose life was forever changed that day.
As we mark the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 and celebrate the 250th year of our nation, we have the privilege of being part of what is expected to be a world record-breaking event. Three hundred forty-three British firefighters will cross the Atlantic to climb alongside hundreds of American firefighters, symbolizing a bond that reaches far beyond borders. Different flags. One calling. One mission. One promise that we will never forget.
When the climb is over, the brotherhood continues at the official afterparty at PBR and LIVE! at The Battery. Grab a well-earned cold drink, share stories, reconnect with old friends, and meet firefighters from across the country—and across the world. Some of the best memories are made after the last stair has been climbed.
But this event is about more than remembering the past.
The 575 FOOLS are proud and humbled to stand alongside the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund of Georgia, an organization that continues to live out the very values Terry Farrell embodied: taking care of firefighters and their families.
The Memorial Stair Climb is the Terry Farrell Fund's largest fundraiser of the year, and every dollar raised goes directly back into the fire service.
This year alone, the Fund has provided more than $60,000 in assistance to around 30 Georgia firefighters facing medical emergencies, housing crises, funeral expenses, and other unexpected hardships. They They've also helped equip fire departments with much-needed turnout gear, equipment, and apparatus.
The National Chapter has donated more than $24 Million to firefighters across the county since it’s inception!
When one of our own is hurting, the Terry Farrell Fund answers the call.
