The Civil Air Patrol’s Willow Run Composite Squadron will host an Open House on Tuesday, October 21, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Michigan Flight Museum, located at 47884 D Street, Belleville, MI 48111 please use the corporate office entrance.

The event invites community members, students, and families to learn more about the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), a nonprofit organization and the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. CAP provides unique opportunities for both youth starting at the age of 14 and adults to engage in aerospace education, leadership development, and emergency services training.

“Civil Air Patrol is about shaping futures while serving our communities,” said Robbie DeYoung, a member of the Willow Run Composite Squadron. “This open house is a chance for families to see how cadets and adult members work together in missions that make a difference—whether it’s supporting disaster response, advancing STEM education, or preparing for future careers.”
The Open House will include information sessions, hands-on displays, and opportunities to meet squadron members.

The Civil Air Patrol’s mission is summed up in three commitments: “Volunteers Serving America’s Communities, Saving Lives, and Shaping Futures.”
The Willow Run Composite Squadron encourages anyone interested in aviation, service, or leadership to attend the event and learn how CAP can provide both youth and adults with rewarding opportunities.
