WildKidd is officially growing. 🌿

After years of dreaming, planning, building, and believing in this vision, WildKidd is now an officially approved nonprofit focused on creating meaningful outdoor experiences, nature-based learning, real-life skills, creativity, community connection, and a childhood rooted in exploration and being outside.

We are currently in the process of preparing and improving the property for upcoming programs and future learning spaces — including building a large yurt platform that will become part of the heart of the space.

As we continue building this vision, we are looking for community support in many forms, including:

• landscaping & mowing
• trail clearing
• brush cleanup & hauling
• small building projects
• framing/carpentry help
• equipment assistance
• volunteer days
• donated materials
• local business sponsorships

WildKidd is being built with the belief that strong communities create strong childhoods, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who believes in what we’re creating.

If you, your business, or someone you know would like to help support the project, volunteer, donate materials, sponsor a portion of the property, or contribute skills or equipment, we would truly love to connect.

When we say, “play is enough,” what we’re really saying is that play is how young children learn best. ⁠

Play allows children to explore the world, test ideas, work through complex emotions, and express creativity, building vital skills like resilience, critical thinking, self-regulation, and more. These skills are the foundation for academic learning. ⁠

Nature, with its ever-changing sights, smells, sounds, and textures, provides a perfect, sensory-rich classroom. ⁠

There’s a reason this is called a village 🤍
I didn’t set out to start a school.
I set out to find something different for my kids… and couldn’t find it.
I wanted more time outside.
More real-life skills.
More connection.
More childhood.
Less rushing.
Less pressure.
Less sitting still all day.
So we’re building it.
A place where kids can learn at their own pace, spend their days outside, get messy, explore, cook, build, create… and just be kids. 🌿
This is just the beginning, but it already feels really special.

🌿 Preschool Enrollment is Now Open 🌿

We are excited to announce that enrollment is now open for our nature-based preschool program in Canterbury, NH for children ages 4–6.
Programs will begin in September 2026.

Our program is designed to give children a meaningful, hands-on early education experience rooted in nature, community, and real-life learning.

✨ Program Highlights:
• Located on 25 acres of natural land
• Daily outdoor exploration and play
• Small, multi-age group setting
• 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day enrollment options
• Homeschool-based program (non-accredited)

This is a drop-off enrichment program for homeschool families, focused on building confidence, independence, and a strong connection to the natural world.

🌿There’s something missing in childhood today… and most of us can feel it.
Kids are spending less time outside than ever before — trading fresh air, movement, and real-life experiences for screens, structure, and constant stimulation.
But here’s what we know:
🌿 Time in nature improves focus
🌿 It supports mental health and emotional regulation
🌿 It builds confidence, independence, and resilience
🌿 It creates real, lasting memories
Childhood wasn’t meant to happen indoors.
At Wildkidd, we believe in bringing kids back to what matters —
exploration, connection, community, and the kind of learning you can’t get from a desk.
We’re currently building something really special for families in our community, and we can’t wait to share more soon.

WILDKIDD is a nonprofit nature-based learning community based in Canterbury, New Hampshire.

Our mission is to help children reconnect with nature, build strong community relationships, and develop real-life skills through outdoor experiences.

Programs include homeschool co-op days, nature-based enrichment, and summer camps where children explore the woods, learn practical skills, and grow confidence through hands-on learning.

Our homeschool co-op meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10–3 in Canterbury, NH.
