Great ideas become stronger when people come together.

Congratulations to Makenzie Wall, Jamie Colecchi, Lindsey Parks, Cassandra Muhr, and John Johnson for their Leadership Washington County community project focused on arts and entertainment.

The team developed a nonprofit Arts Council concept designed to bring organizations together to meet, collaborate, and explore new ideas for strengthening the local arts community.

They created different membership levels, met with local organizations to discuss the concept, and submitted the proposal to Jeff Kotula for review and potential support.

Creating impact through service and strengthening our communities.

Congratulations to Michael Brownlee, Jason Avant, Emily Holmes, and Tiffany Reeves for their Leadership Washington County community project focused on nonprofit outreach.

Partnering with Arc, the team helped expand access to self-advocacy resources for individuals with disabilities navigating medical appointments.

We're excited to share this year's Signature Class community projects over the next few days and highlight the impact these teams are making throughout our community.

Healthy communities start with people who care and take action.

Congratulations to Brent Robinson, Emma Borsh, Justin Williams, Rhonda Wylie, and Grace LaCarte for their community project focused on the Montour Trail.

Working alongside Terry Bimle from the Montour Trail Council and Jason Ortitay, the team highlighted the importance of preserving this community resource, including raising awareness and support for repairs to the tunnel closure.

The Montour Trail creates opportunities for exercise, connection, and community for families across our region, and this team is helping ensure that impact continues.

Energy Day was a great mix of learning, conversation, and a little friendly competition for the LWC class.

Throughout the day, participants heard from an incredible group of speakers and industry leaders who shared insight into the many facets of the energy sector — from natural gas development and community impact to operations, environmental considerations, workforce development, and the full life cycle of a well.

A special thank you to Range Resources and all of the presenters and partners who helped make the day possible, including Chrissy Kramer, Loren Anderson, Jeff Kotula, Kara Peterson, Laural Ziemba, Rodney Archibeque, Jeremy Matinko, Erica Taylor, Maggie Wallen, Rob Shough, Chris Koop, and Joe Sinnott for sharing their expertise and perspectives throughout the day.

And of course, we have to mention Fossil Feud — a fun way to wrap up the day with some friendly competition alongside LWC and Range Resources alumni Kylie Fuller and Nina Pompeani.

Thank you to everyone who helped create another engaging and memorable LWC experience!
