From PPG Paints Arena and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center to Seven Springs, Operating Engineers Local 66, Eaton, and beyond, students are branching out, building skills, and gaining the confidence to pursue careers across healthcare, energy, hospitality, construction, and the skilled trades.

It was a special night last Monday at PPG Paints Arena for the Pittsburgh Penguins’ annual Black History Game. 🏒

This year’s edition helped welcome the centennial celebration of Black History Month, and it marked our fourth consecutive year as Gameday Presenting Sponsor. The energy in the building matched the action on the ice, and it was special to celebrate Black excellence with our partners, colleagues, and friends.

Through our work with the Penguins, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, and community organizations across Western Pennsylvania, we’re pleased to recognize Black leaders and changemakers, elevate youth voices, and create tangible opportunities for the next generation—right here in Appalachia. This is in action.

CNX was proud to host nearly 200 leaders from across companies and industries in the Pittsburgh region to experience the game together and deepen relationships around community impact and opportunity.

Apollo-Ridge’s auditorium and band room are where big moments happen for students—but aging HVAC systems were making those spaces uncomfortable and inefficient.
