Forget buying a kit. build your own for help in doing that go to web site starcountrysoapboxderby.org. the price list for a basic car from Home Depot is about $100.00 with out wheels, at Ace it will coast about the same. the best wheels are at Big R. So let's get bissy and start building and have a great race day in Canon City.

I hear people say "I wish there was more for our children to do, other than site around and play on the game box. Well when that happens We must take actions to get the Kids involved. and Mom & Dad may have to spent with their children. The Starcountry Soap Box Derby is just that kind of event.

The Starcountry Soap Box Derby is having a trail run on Saturday Aug. 20, 2016 Runs will start at 8:00 AM. On North Field St.near Harrison School. We need volunteers to help with set up that will start at 5:30 Am.

The Race will be held on Field st Saturday Sept.17,2016 and what will be said of Canon City if the number of racers from Pueblo is two times that of Canon City.

Public Meeting at Canon City Library 5:00 to 5:45 on 17 May 2016 for The Starcountry Down Hill Race. We will be using 1949 Soap Box Derby rules. Lots of new Information will be coming out.Looking for all interested Parties. we are a non-profit so lets make this a great event from 7 years old 107 years old

Meeting for all interested kids and Families. On April 20 at 4:30 to 5:30 PM at Mountain View Core School library. The meeting will cover a little history, coast of kits, and rules. Should take less than 1hour. A great way to meet and great each other.
PS: I found a way to save $ big money on the kits.

It is official Starcountry is part of the All American Soap Box Derby in Akron OH. I have a new email address [email protected]. and will have a new web site soon and we have a new logo also.

The CCSBDA. will be having a cook out and registration day on March 6 at Centennial park ( Duck Park )

Registration fees are $25.00

StarCountry Soap Box Derby will be selling Hamburgers at Vet. Park Aug. 11 starting at 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. or until we run out. So come on out and have a great night at the park

Wow I think it's a Great thing to get started in our area. and I hope that it will catch on and the derby will take off whit support from our communality.
