If any residents within the Mandatory Evacuation order in Penrose need assistance, please reach out and we will do our best to come offer assistance.

As a reminder, the Evacuation Shelter is located at Pathfinder Park between Florence and Cañon City on highway 115.

Displaced residents and their livestock are being directed to this location after evacuations. The red cross has set up to assist everyone that needs assistance.

Citizens of Fremont County, this morning I sat down with Sheriff Candidate Greg Owen, and I would like to extend my official endorsement to Greg.

Greg came by my home, and we sat down in the garage and had a conversation on his goals and aspirations as Sheriff. When our conversation concluded, I felt like Greg Owen has a vested interest in our community, our jail, and our Sheriff's Office.

Greg is running to be the supervisor that his workplace needs, and with everything I have recently seen in my workplace, he sounds like a damn good boss.

If you have the opportunity to sit down with Greg and pick his brain, I highly encourage you to do so.
