It's great to start the new year with a promise of positive growth on our minds. Looking back at CVSC in 2023 is AMAZING! We had 100 people attend an Irish feast and make merry music together at our St. Patrick's Day celebration, had our first "Garden Tour" of Cannon Falls gardens, enjoyed a spring trail ride in golf carts to Lake Byllesby, manned the Cannon Valley fair gates, enjoyed a community concert at the fairgrounds with the band "Flipside", weather was a bit questionable, but ended up being a perfect night! We had our fall trail ride down the Cannon Valley Trail, a bus trip with 86 people traveled to Savannah, Georgia, that was an incredibly memorable trip for all of us that we were lucky to be a part of, a fall bus trip to Lake Minnetonka, lunch and shopping, another memorable Veteran's Recognition Program in Nov., a community Thanksgiving dinner, serving almost 200 people, a Christmas Tea, with colorful treats, music and comradery. “It's Coffee Time" every Monday morning with many Cannon Falls residents sharing their Monday cup of coffee together, along with all our other activities and programs. It IS amazing!

With all that being said, our board has decided that it is time we have a membership fee for CVSC. Along with activities and programs growing, so are our expenses. We are asking a $20 yearly membership fee to be a part of our events, classes, and programs. As a member, you will be able to take advantage of:
-Discounts on classes and trips
-Discounts from our local participating businesses
-Receive monthly email activity updates.

You will receive a card with your name, to show to local participating merchants for senior discounts. Your membership is your ownership in this center. Please help us to continue to have a positive influence in our community.

As an incentive to sign up this month, we are offering a drawing for a $10 certificate to a local store. Everyone that turns in their membership form before January 31st will be entered into the drawing for the certificate. Membership forms are available at the CVSC office Monday -Thursday 9-1.
