Last Friday would have marked our 12th annual fundraising dinner; however, as many of you know, our family chose to take a brief pause. It’s been a time of mixed emotions, offering me a chance to reflect on our journey with MS.
Since 2008, MS has been an unwelcome guest in our family. Over the years, we’ve learned to navigate it with gratitude, relying on the support of our loved ones, friends, and community - each of you has been our lifeline, helping us stay afloat.
I’m deeply thankful to everyone who has supported our mission, especially Anthony and Cara Saadey, whose partnership in hosting the last eight dinners has been invaluable. I also want to express my gratitude to all the volunteers, including the vendors who generously gave their time and talents. Throughout these 16 years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible people from the MS community (you know who you are) who have become family and a steady source of support. Most of all, I’m blessed by my loving family, whose encouragement drives me every day.
Though we’re taking a short break, our work continues. Let’s keep celebrating the little victories and cherishing the moments that become lasting memories. Together, we will continue to say goodbye to MS.
