Our USM Children's Program Summer Enrichment is off to an AMAZING start!

This year's STEM-themed summer is packed with hands-on science and fun. Week One was all about botany, and our children learned firsthand how things grow.

A huge thank you to Jess from Nardozzi's Nursery for donating plants for our new garden beds and teaching our kiddos how to plant and care for them. Together, we planted marigolds, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkins, and more! šŸŒ±

We also explored the fascinating world of beekeeping and pollination with Maria and Michael from Beulah Land Farm, and even built a beehive! šŸ

Sister Norma recently hosted the final brunch at Angelaā€™s Villa.

Since 2016, this space has been a home for young adults to gather, work, study, and grow together in faith.

Kelly Haines (bottom right) shares, ā€œIt feels like we were just cleaning the house, getting it ready for the first brunch. I have so much love and gratitude for Sister Norma and all the girls I grew up here with.ā€

Marta Hergenrother, at left, adds, ā€œWe could always count on the community of Angelaā€™s Villa for a pick-me-up. Sister Normaā€”thank you for always bringing us together.ā€

Though we're saying goodbye to this space, the group will continue meeting and walking together in faith. More details to come!

Our Education Outreach staff recently became CPR, First Aid, and Pediatric certified, all in preparation for a safe and fun summer programming season ahead!

A special thank you to the YMCA in Boardman for hosting us, and to Kelsey, Aquatics Supervisor, for being such an incredible instructor. Weā€™re grateful for the knowledge and training that helps keep the children and families we serve safe and supported this summer.
