Candor has been celebrating the 4th of July in one form or another for 153 years! Floats have been part of the parade since 1922, 104 years! For most of those years, there were 20 or more floats entered in the parade. This number has gone down considerably over the past several years. 2026 is an important year in our history as it is the 250th Anniversary of America. Please help us have a gigantic parade by entering a float! Get together with friends, neighbors, family members, or people in your organization and make a float! It doesn't have to be fancy, just something that commemorates the birthday of the USA. It doesn't even need to be a float as such. It could just be a group of people marching in the parade, showing how they are celebrating the holiday.
