A golden retriever puppy lay unconscious on a New York City street — a shopping bag sealed tight over his head. He couldn't breathe. He wasn't moving. His mother stood beside him, barking desperately for help. People walked past. Staring at their phones. No one stopped.

Then a young police officer saw him. She ran. She tore the bag off his face. She checked for breathing — nothing. She scooped him up and ran all the way to the hospital. His mother followed close behind. The doctors rushed him into surgery. She sat beside his bed. Waiting. Praying. Then — he opened his eyes.
She hugged them both. A family saved — on the streets of New York. 🦮🥰👮‍♀️
