Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville MPR is a foster-based animal rescue in Asheville, NC, focused on connecting people with pets in need. Interested in joining the pack?

Built on the love and support of countless fosters, volunteers, and donors, we have saved thousands of animals' lives since our inception in 2017. Through grassroots efforts, we envision a future in which all companion animals find loving homes where they are able to receive the care and respect they deserve. We also own and run the Thrift Hound, a storefront fundraising effort where all of the merchandise is donated by our supportive community. This means your purchase goes directly to the animals in our care! If you are interested in joining our efforts through adopting, donating, volunteering, or fostering, please go to MPRAVL.org to learn more! Searching for the purr-fect purr? Your quest ends here! 🐱💕 Our weekly cat adoption event is overflowing with whiskers, wiggles, head bonks and, of course, PURRS!

Saturday, 9/19
PetSmart, 150 Bleachery Blvd
12:00-4:00pm

We also have a few kitties who won’t be attending the event but are happily waiting in their foster homes for their forever families. If one of these cuties catches your eye, simply submit an application and we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet—with no commitment to adopt!

Read all about our adoptable pets on their profiles at MPRAVL.org before you visit. All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed, and started on monthly flea preventative.
