Rumor has it two is better than one! And we’re here to prove that’s true!

Muni and Misters are a bonded pair who balance each other beautifully. Her affectionate, easygoing nature complements his curious, energetic spirit purrrr-fectly. They would love to find a home together where they can continue to play, explore, and keep each other company.

Adopted a year ago as young kittens, Muni and Mister have found their way back to us because their owners “didn’t have the time for them.” They are not blood siblings but nevertheless, love one another.

There were quite a few folks promoted to dog and cat moms over the last week and weekend with TWENTY ONE animals finding their forever families!

On top of that, we’re thrilled to share that it was a pawsome week for some of our long timers:

🐱 Declan, who is FeLV +, scored a home with a FeLV+ sibling

🐶 Dennis who waited over a year to be adopted made his way into a loving home

🐱 Louisa who is FIV+ got adopted with her best feline friend, Voltaire

And although Kalypso was not in our care for a long time, she stole our hearts and was a staff favorite, but we’re happy her new family has agreed to keep in touch with all the pupdates ♥️.

The beauty (and reality!) of motherhood 😹.

On this Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating this morning’s adoption of Capuchin and Marmoset.

We took these babies from another rescue back in September 2025 after they were found in some machinery at a nearby plant.

They came into our care at not even half a pound and with terrible eye infections in both eyes, which turned out to be eyelid agenesis. So in January of this year, Capuchin had one eye removed and surgery on the other eye, while Marmoset had surgery in both eyes to stop the fur from painfully growing into their eyes.

But today their luck turned around and these 2 kitties finally got their fairy-tail ending…together!

Congrats to Capuchin, Marmoset and their new mom and to all the mothers out there, we hope you’re enjoying your special day!

Kalypso is an adorable Heinz 57 pup with a permanent head tilt that makes her look like she’s constantly saying “do what?”

She already weighs about 20 lbs at 3ish months old and will most likely be medum to large when fully grown, so you should absolutely come meet this chunky monkey today, 5/9 at Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Community Center.

We’ll be onsite with her and other adoptable pups from 12:00-3:00 pm, so swing by, grab some MPR merch and maybe, just maybe, take home your next furry friend before the dog days of summer!

Our adoptable Army Ranger is ready to complete his special mission of finding a forever home!

This 1.5 year old boy is friendly and outgoing, however he has been known to get a bit nippy. With that said, his ideal recruit(s) will be able to understand and appreciate cat body language.

They will also allow him to join the ranks of an indoor/outdoor cat, but only after a 4-6 week time period of getting comfortable in his new home.

Army Ranger is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.

His adoption fee is $100 and you can apply to adopt at MPRAVL.org!

May the 4th be with you!

And how fitting that all FIVE of our Ewok puppies were adopted over the weekend with another 13 animals going home in the last week. That brings our grand total to 18!

Happy 10 years to New Belgium Asheville! Thanks for being such a wonderful partner to us over the years with not only your generous donations, but with an open space for our adoption events! So many animals have gotten their 2nd best chance at life because of you!

Speaking of adoption events, we’ll be there today, 5/2 from 12:00-6:00 pm with 13 pups looking for forever homes. And it may end up looking like we’re running a zoo, but rest assured, we’ll have all the cuteness under control.

There will also be live music, local vendors, games, giveaways and more! Gonna be a doggone good time, so come celebrate with us and maybe take home a new furry friend!

New Belgium, new furry friend! That’s how the saying goes, right?!

New Belgium is celebrating their 10 year anniversary this Saturday, 5/2 and they asked us to join the pawty!

We’ll be onsite with these adoptable pups (and others!) from 12:00-6:00 pm along with local artists, live music, games and giveaways, so it’s an event you don’t want to miss!

And sorry, not sorry for the cuteness overload. We know it’s a lot, so it’s best you come see for yourself on Saturday 😍.
