WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! / ¡NECESITAMOS VOLUNTARIOS!

Our food bank is looking for volunteers to help with early-morning food pickups on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

We need reliable, helping hands to pick up food and bring it back to help keep our food bank running smoothly and support our community. We would also love to have a few people willing to be backups for other pickup days when needed.

➡️Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly to load and unload!

Volunteer Opportunities:

* Tuesdays: 8:45 AM – 11:30 AM
* Thursdays: 9:45 AM – 11:30 AM

Every helping hand makes a difference! If you’re available to help, even just one of these days, we would love to hear from you.

Join the City of Canby and 3J Consulting for a Community Summit on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026, from 6:00p – 8:00p at Cutsforth’s Town Hall (225 NE 2nd Avenue; entrance on NE 2nd Avenue, near parking lot). The Community Summit is part of Cultivating Canby, a city-wide process to plan for the future of Canby.

At this Summit, participants will review results from the previous Summit and discuss land use alternatives for Northwest Residential and East Employment Urban Growth Boundary expansion areas.

The Summit will use an interactive Open House format. Maps and information about the alternatives will be displayed throughout the meeting room, and participants will be encouraged to share their feedback using sticky notes or comment forms. The Community Summit is part of Cultivating Canby, a city-wide process to plan for the future of Canby.

All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Spanish interpretation will be provided.

¡Acompañe a la Ciudad de Canby y a 3J Consulting en una Cumbre Comunitaria el martes 20 de octubre de 2026, de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., en Cutsforth’s Town Hall (225 NE 2nd Avenue; la entrada está sobre NE 2nd Avenue, cerca del estacionamiento)!

La Cumbre Comunitaria forma parte de Cultivating Canby, un proceso a nivel de toda la ciudad para planificar el futuro de Canby.

En esta cumbre, los participantes revisarán los resultados de la cumbre anterior y conversarán sobre las alternativas de uso del suelo para las áreas de expansión del límite de crecimiento urbano (UGB, por sus siglas en inglés) en las zonas residenciales del noroeste y de empleo del este.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our volunteers!

Every volunteer makes a difference, and every hour you give helps make our food bank a success. I especially want to thank those who stay until the very end to help tear everything down, clean up, and leave everything as if we were never there.

Los miércoles son días largos… pero valen la pena.

Nuestro miércoles empieza un poquito antes de las 7 de la mañana: cargando, organizando y preparando todo para la distribución. Y después de varias horas de trabajo, llega el momento de limpiar, recoger y dejar todo como si nada hubiera pasado.

Pero nada de esto sería posible sin nuestros increíbles voluntarios.

Gracias por hacer que cada distribución sea más organizada, fluida, acogedora y fácil para todos.

¡Gracias por ser parte de nuestro equipo!

Wednesdays are long days… but they’re worth it.

Our Wednesday starts a little before 7 AM—loading, organizing, and setting everything up for distribution. After hours of work, it’s time to clean up, put everything away, and leave the place looking like nothing ever happened.

But none of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers.

Thank you for making every distribution smoother, more welcoming, organized, and easier for everyone.
