The third non-profit that will be coming to speak on April 16th is The Hull Foundation.

Their story began in the early 1960s when philanthropist Oral Hull discovered a significant gap in services for adults living with sight loss through a conversation with her blind lawyer. This revelation inspired her to take action, and she sold her beautiful 23-acre property to the foundation for just $1, establishing what would become the Hull Foundation and Learning Center for the Blind.

Since 1962, the Hull Foundation has been dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals who are blind or have sight loss. They provide social opportunities, educational resources, and adventure retreats that enable participants to experience activities they never thought possible - from white river rafting and kayaking to rock climbing and skiing.

Become a member today and come listen to more about their organization on April 16th.

Many of you are familiar with the second non-profit that will be sharing with us at our next event on April 16th. We will be hearing from The Canby Center.

The Canby Center offers practical help with purpose — from food and clothing to mentoring, tutoring, and life-skills education. Every service is designed to restore dignity and open doors to opportunity. Their members volunteer alongside staff and supporters, reinforcing the truth that we’re in this together.

Through partnerships with local churches, schools, service clubs, and generous donors, The Canby Center now serves thousands of families across Canby, Hubbard, and Aurora. As they expand their facility and strengthen their programs, they remain focused on what matters most: relationships that renew hope, faith that sustains, and a community where everyone can thrive.

Be sure to become a member today on our website then come listen to three incredible non-profits and how they can benefit from $10,000!

We are so excited to hear from three incredible non-profits at our next event on April 16th.

Keep following for a quick peak at the organizations coming to speak.

First up: Bridging Cultures Canby

Bridging Cultures is a Latine-led community organization in Canby with a 25-year history of building relationships through culture, reciprocity, and shared community connections. What began with 12 sack lunches and a cultural cooking exchange, grew into an organization where small acts of generosity create lasting relationships across neighborhoods and backgrounds.

CULTURE • CONNECTION • COMMUNITY

Today, Bridging Cultures helps strengthen our community through a variety of programs including:

• Unrestricted Food Bank serving over 300 households each week

• Community Education programs such as English language and sewing classes

• Multicultural Community Celebrations bringing people together across backgrounds

• Farmworker Outreach and resource sharing to promote safety and wellness

• A Community Garden where families learn, harvest, and share with neighbors

Their work is rooted in one simple belief: when neighbors understand and support one another, our community grows stronger and everyone feels at home.

Want to hear more from them and two more great, local non-profits? Become a member today and join us at our next event!

What a night we had at our October 23rd event—it was heartfelt, inspiring, and a true celebration of community generosity!

A huge thank you to HF Garden Project, Bloomin’ Boutique, and Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine. Each nonprofit shared powerful stories about the work they’re doing to uplift lives in Clackamas County. Choosing just one recipient was no easy task!

Thanks to our incredible members, we raised a total of $11,400!

$10,000 was awarded to HF Garden Project, the majority vote winner of the evening.

$700 was gifted to both Bloomin’ Boutique and Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine, ensuring all three nonprofits walked away with support and encouragement.

We’re so proud of what this group continues to accomplish. Whether you were able to attend or not, your presence in this community makes a difference. Thank you for showing up, giving generously, and believing in the power of collective impact.
