We will be going over upcoming legislation for next year. If you have any ideas we need them now. All ideas must be gone over and voted on during this meeting. We already have one from last year to present again and another that was passed in Utah we need to look at.
SPECIAL GUEST: Alicha Grubb - Gentry Locke will be going over the new U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Montgomery v. Caribe Transport, where freight brokers can now be sued for negligent hiring if they select an unsafe or improperly vetted motor carrier.
We advocate on behalf of the industry’s interests both supporting and promoting positive legislation and opposing negative legislation.
