Inclusion in Motion

Empowering all abilities and ages to play, exercise, learn and socialize together. We believe that a child’s most important work is play.

Through play imaginations grow, relationships are formed, problem solving is ignited, active lifestyles are encouraged, and young minds are molded with diverse interactions. We believe that a child should be able to play seamlessly alongside their siblings, peers, parents, and grandparents – regardless of their age or ability. Our hope is that the play that happens on this playground will foster an inclusive mindset that will carry into schools and into the community.

Grab your gear, gather your friends and family, and make sure to have a fun-filled summer🌞with our new Patch Program that started on Memorial Day!

Over the next couple of days, we’ll be sharing information about the different patches🌳

Up first: 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹: Make sure to visit all 8 parks below AND complete at least 1 activity from this list for each location:

Make sure to snap a picture 📸 or record your adventure in your own journal or on a piece of paper 📖, including the date, time, and all the fun activities you enjoyed!

Once completed, you can bring the required information to Onanda Park Gatehouse from 9am-6pm between May 25th to September 7th, or you can see the Town Clerk at Town Hall!

Great news as we head into summer—the concession stand at Motion Junction is reopening for the season, operated by Company Store!

📅 Opening Day: Friday of Memorial Day Weekend (May 22)
🕙 Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Once open, the stand will operate Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until school is out, with plans to expand to daily hours as summer gets underway.

🌟 What’s New This Year?
Based on feedback from last season, the menu has been expanded to include:

🌭 Hot dogs
🍪 Gluten-free cookie options

And of course, all your favorites are still there—sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks, cold drinks, and more.

Whether you're spending the day at the park or just stopping by, it’s the perfect spot to grab a bite and enjoy the season.

Motion Junction was bustling with activity this morning. We couldn't be happier to see smiling faces and to provide opportunities for play and connection.

Thank you for the endless support over the years as we brought this dream to life.

The letter explains how Motion Junction, unlike other so called inclusive playgrounds, was different in the sense that this child could actually take an active role in playing - swinging, zip lining, see-saw, and merry-go-round. This grandmother thanks Inclusion In Motion for the build of this playground, including her grandson along with others, and bringing joy to their lives.

AIA Top Small Project 🏆

In a cold winter season that doesn't typically hold love for playgrounds, we found ourselves accepting yet another award for our incredible pavilion structure at Motion Junction! What an honor to receive the Buffalo AIA (American Institute of Architects) Top Small Project Award of 2025!

Our universal design is unmatched thanks to , , , and !! The design came to life with . The best teams are made up of people with brilliant minds and passionate hearts.

We are so grateful for this dream team.
