Inclusion in Motion

Inclusion in Motion Empowering all abilities and ages to play, exercise, learn and socialize together. We believe that a child’s most important work is play.

Through play imaginations grow, relationships are formed, problem solving is ignited, active lifestyles are encouraged, and young minds are molded with diverse interactions. We believe that a child should be able to play seamlessly alongside their siblings, peers, parents, and grandparents – regardless of their age or ability. Our hope is that the play that happens on this playground will foster an inclusive mindset that will carry into schools and into the community.

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Motion Junction!

We will celebrate by sharing some little known facts.

Did you know...

🌎IIM is a small local nonprofit hoping to spark nationwide change.
📝Motion Junction took our nonprofit 6 years to plan.
🔨 the playground was built by 700 community members in 6 days.
😁 The playground was named after the boy, now teenager, who inspired its existence: MJ.
💵 Every penny of this nearly 2 million dollar project was obtained through fundraising, donations, and grants.
🤝 Once built, our non-profit transferred playground ownership back to the Town of Canandaigua as originally agreed upon.
🥳You can rent the pavilion space for group gatherings through the Town's website.
🥨 The Company Store now offers a variety of coffee and food on site.
💦 Our nonprofit hosts community clean-up days in the summertime and we would love for YOU to join us!

Thanks for being part of our story. Never stop playing!
