They weren't kidding when they said high wind warning for today! The East side of the lake is getting pummeled pretty hard. Gusts are definitely clocking in over 40 mph. Be sure to tie down any loose objects outside and be careful if you are outside. 🌬🌊

We had a fantastic time with the Canandaigua 3rd graders at their yearly Onanda Field Days event that we get to organize for them! We always have such a great time with the students, teachers, parents and amazing partners that make this happen! It’s such an honor to partner with you all on this!

A huge shout out to CLWA volunteers, the DEC, the Finger Lakes PRISM, FLCC’s Muller Field Station, Ontario County Soil and Water Conservation District, Ontario and Yates Cornell Cooperative Extension’s, Ontario County Department of Sustainability and Solid Waste Management, retired OCSWCD educator, and CLWA Watershed Educators for running a station at this event. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Can’t wait for next year!!

We are feeling the love today! What an absolute amazing turnout at our Annual Meeting last night. Over 100 members and partners joined us to celebrate all we've accomplished together over the past year. It truly was an inspiring evening of friendship, conversation, and celebration of our shared commitment to the lake. ❤️🌊

Its New York State Invasive Species Awareness Week. Today we are highlighting Round Goby - an invasive fish found in nearby lakes including Seneca, Keuka, and Lake Ontario.

We don't want to let them into Canandaigua - so never use them as bait and be on the lookout for them. There are some native look alike fish - but that black spot is a key ID feature for the goby.
