🌿New Series Alert!

❎Next Monday we’re launching a new series—our Top 10 Most Wanted list of invasive, non-native plant species negatively impacting Ohio’s private and public lands. 🌿You may even have some of these species bordering your own property.

❎Invasive plants often outcompete our native plant communities and provide little to no nutrition for wildlife especially when compared to Ohio’s native plant alternatives. 🌿Challenging to remove, the sooner they’re identified, the easier it is to remove them (although most species take several seasons to completely eradicate)! We had a visitor at Community Coffee this weekend who shared a new opportunity for our residents. Will Bennett shared with us that in September there is a company looking to do a 6-week trial of CURBSIDE COMPOSTING for FREE! Just how easy it? As simple as completing the form below. More details will follow once we get closer to the trial event.

The completion of this form does not require you to participate, it just is an expression of interest for curbside/drop off compost program as more information as it becomes available.

Information from the city on upcoming curbside recycling!

It is official!! Curbside Recycling is coming to the downtown CW area. 💚 If you are currently serviced by Waste Management through the city agreement, your service will be changing to Rumpke starting October 1st. Prior to that you will receive information on how to sign up for the new Rumpke service which includes weekly curbside recycling with a large 65 gallon container at no additional cost! All of our hard work and our residents commitment to our 1st and 3rd Saturday drop offs has paid off!
Waste Management will pickup Monday, September 28th and Rumpke will begin pickup that same week on Thursday, October 1st so that there will be no gap for residents. Thursday will be your new pickup day.

Thankfully we opened our bin this morning to see someone dumped early and were able to clear it out. This whole dumpster would be going to the trash due to contamination. :(
