Battle Pups are showing up in classrooms all across the country, and every week we get stories like this one.

This one comes from a wellness teacher at in Amherst, Ohio:

"We named our pups Icicle, Cocoa, and Cheerio, just to name a few! We also wrote them sample letters to show the students how they could write to their pup if they ever felt alone.

My favorite part of the lesson was talking about your mindset. We talk a lot about the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset in class. We discussed how, even when something terrible was happening in your life, you chose to take that experience and be miserable or make the best out of it.

What an incredible lesson that is to teach our kindergarten through second-grade students!

What you have created is making a difference in the lives of our students, and we are so grateful.

🛡️ WARRIOR WEDNESDAY 🛡️

This week we're honoring a teen warrior recently diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a bone cancer most common in teenagers. It started as what looked like an ankle injury. Thankfully, it hasn't spread, but months of chemo and surgery lie ahead.

"I'm just trying to take everything one day at a time and get through it with the support of my family and the people around me."

And now, they have Rocky. 🐾

"Having received my puppy Rocky meant so much I started crying. It will be so comforting to have to carry around through this battle."

Fairfield Christian Academy DOUBLED their goal for Way to Battle! 🎉

We are blown away. The students, families, and staff at Fairfield Christian Academy set out to raise $1,000 for Way to Battle, and they brought in $2,000!!!

Every dollar and every bit of change they brought in helps us make sure No One Battles Alone!

Every day we are getting stories like this from the over 4,000 classroom kits we shipped out this summer ❤️

"I am a wellness teacher at Powers Elementary in Amherst, Ohio. We received Battle Pups for each of our classrooms, and I was lucky enough to come across your page through a teacher friend, which prompted me to request them.

When we received the pups, I played your video for each of our classrooms. We named our pups Icicle, Cocoa, and Cheerio, just to name a few! We also wrote them sample letters to show the students how they could write to their pup if they ever felt alone.

Some of our second graders have even enjoyed making accessories for their dogs. This was completely unprompted—it was simply a student’s idea! It has been so wonderful to see how they have taken ownership of their Battle Pups.

We ended up with a few extra Battle Pups, and we are going to use them for our “Handle With Care” kiddos who need a little extra support. This will go a long way because the students have already had a lesson explaining how to use their pups. They can turn to them for comfort while dealing with whatever they may be battling.

Thank you, Fairfield Christian Academy , for giving Battle Pups a platform for our kids to share our mission.

Not only has FCA implemented classroom kits in every elementary class this year, but their students are also running a school-wide fundraiser to help us send more Battle Pups to classrooms.
