This Saturday, we have the opportunity to give back to a special little member of our community. We will be holding a 50/50 raffle to help this amazing local family.

This is Mack Hofacker, a Canal Fulton resident. I’m going to let his parents tell his story..
“Our son Mack was diagnosed with medication resistant epilepsy (infantile spasms) at 4 months old. Today he is 16 months old and hasn’t been seizure free since then. He’s ranged from 100-5 seizures in a day. We have been 100% compliant with all 4 of his neurologist’s recommendations and yet Mack has experienced an eating regression requiring a Gtube, a breathing regression requiring 24/7 oxygen and milestone regression/delay leaving him at about a 4 month old developmental level.

This has lead us to search for alternative treatment options to help preserve the skills Mack still has and hopefully make progress and gain back the skills he has lost. Our first adventure is taking place 1/15/26 and we are taking off to Austin Texas! We will be driving there to see a function neurologist who specializes in kids like Mack.

This fundraiser/raffle will support this trip and others in the future. The total cost for treatment at NueroSolutions in Texas is over $20,000 alone. Insurance doesn’t cover any of this. This doesn’t include travel expenses and a place to stay.
Any support for Mack’s alternative treatment journey is validation that he deserves better than what conventional medicine is able to offer him. We will be selling raffle tickets all day on Saturday, December 6th. You do not have to be present to purchase or win. Send our official page a message to purchase or see us the day of the event. Drawing will be at 7:30pm EST on Saturday, December 6th.

Have you heard about this incredible new space downtown?? 2 doors down from the library on High St, this new nonprofit is on a mission to overcome loneliness and cultivate community.

Canal Creative holds a pottery studio, glass studio, community spaces as well as a couple local business offices. (With a few still available, if you’re looking! 👀) They offer their own community events, while also welcoming community members to hold events to connect with each other.
