The Kara Zinke Emergency Fund was established in loving memory of Kara Elizabeth Zinke. We, her family were fortunate to have the love, encouragement and support of the surrounding community. This love and support was paramount for our family to pull through this devastating time in our lives. The outpouring of support from our neighbors and friends in Canaan and the surrounding area was immeasura
ble. That support was immediate and unrestricted and will never be forgotten. Our family is indebted and forever grateful to our community for the love and support that we were shown during our time of need. The Kara Zinke Emergency Fund was established as a way to give that same support back to our friendly and generous community. It is the ambition of the Kara Zinke Emergency Fund that those who are in need will be served. Simply put; folks gave to our family from their hearts and did so as a knee-jerk reaction. The Kara Zinke Emergency Fund is intended to exemplify the unconditional support which our family was shown in our time of need. Our family wishes to give back to this wonderful community. Our vision of this charity is to give to those in need, and to do so without delay, without process, and without undue discretion. Money has been and will continue to be raised and distributed to those families in need. Whether the emergency be an automobile accident, a chronic illness, sudden injury, loss of home or anything which the fund might be able to offer monetary assistance for, so it shall be. We hope you will help our family in our efforts to raise funds to help those throughout our community who, in their time of need, might be comforted by the same type of love and support which our family was given.
