We’re pleased to share that Canaan’s Heat Emergency Plan was adopted by the Canaan Town Council on May 11.

Extremely hot days are becoming more frequent and can pose serious health risks, especially for households without air conditioning. The plan outlines coordinated procedures to help keep residents safe during heat waves.

And remember: Canaan Town Hall is available as a cooling center during extreme heat advisories. Stay cool, stay safe, and check on neighbors who may need support.

Join us Saturday, June 14th, 1–4 PM at Canaan Town Hall for the 3rd Annual Canaan Day and experience the magic of fixing, community, and innovation!

Bring your broken items—anything from bikes and zippers to tools and toasters—and our local volunteer fixers will help bring them back to life for FREE.
This year, we’re excited to debut 3D printing for custom repairs, with a live demo by local student Caleb Miller. ♻️🔧

Come help us spruce up Stoddard Park in Canaan
Saturday, June 10 from 10 AM until work runs out.
Well be planing native perennial wildflowers and grasses (digging the hole putting plants in ground etc) and mulching them to help the plants establish.
Come for some or all of it.
Please bring a shovel and or pitch fork if you have one.
Snacks provided.
