"tired and"frustrated."

People see rescue 🐕Dogs,🐈Cat and happy adoption photos💟.
They don't see the thousands and thousands of dollars 💰that have come out of our pockets.
They don't see the damage☹️ to our home.
They don't see the gas money, the dog food🍴, the preventive medications🏥, the cleaning supplies🧹, the vet⚕️ runs, and the sleepless nights, or the endless messes.

Today after buying dog food that nobody donated. After cleaning up messes until I could barely bend over.
My back hurts. My body hurts. My heart hurts.

What hurts the most is my heart and feeling completely alone.

Everyone says they support rescue until it's time⏳️ to actually help.
A handful of people donate. Most people scroll on by.

Adopters want perfection.
They want a dog that's already trained,
perfectly behaved,
doesn't shed,
doesn't bark,
doesn't have accidents,
doesn't have trauma,
doesn't need work,
doesn't need patience,
and doesn't need commitment.

That's not how rescue animals work.

If a dog isn't worth putting time, training, and effort into, then maybe a dog isn't what you're looking for.

And rescue groups aren't always any better. Sometimes they'll commit to a dog and then back out the minute.
Other times they want us to do all the work—housing, feeding, training, transporting, medicating, cleaning, and socializing—so they can step in at the finish line, collect the adoption fee, and take the credit.

Meanwhile, the people doing the day-to-day work are left exhausted.

We do the work. We spend the money. We take the damage to our homes. We sacrifice our time, our health, and our lives.
And often we don't even get a thank you.

I understand why so many rescuers walk away.

We love these animals. We love working in rescue.
That's the problem.

We've loved them enough to sacrifice everything

When all we ask is for help with basic supplies
Dog food, cleaning supplies, funds for gas. We aren't asking for much to properly care.

This is a glimpse of what rescues see and while most people in rescue is grouchy grumpy or Mean. Discretion is advised while watching this video as there is some animals with injuries.
When we get cases like these in they cost a lot with vet care and get in the pet back to health that's why your donations are very important because you're helping pets like these get a better life and away from the hurt the once Endured.
