The Y.A.N. had a drainage culvert break under the OK Ditch, so they have turned water our of the Ditch until repairs can be completed.

We've run into some snags, literally. The Forest Service section of the OK Ditch had some fallen trees and built up berms that need sawing and backhoe work. Depending on progress, we hope to get the water back in early next week.

Helpers Denise, Hilary, Diane, Bob and (picture taker) Deb enjoy lunch while clearing the upper, Forest Service sections of the Ditch. Given the rain today and forecasted this week and ongoing shareholder repairs, water will probably not come in until later this week, at the earliest.

Depending on Mother Nature (storms), we're looking at SUNDAY, MARCH 17 to shutdown the Ditch for its annual, Spring cleaning. Please plan your repairs/ clean outs accordingly. HAPPY SPRING!

Given the high water as we drift into into irrigation season, the OK Ditch will forego Spring Cleaning, for now, and work to keep water in the Ditch for as long as the River permits.

Please remove any obvious obstructions - downed limbs, etc. - and help provide the best flow possible for fellow shareholders and neighbors.

As my father, who was in the Navy, used to say, “Belay that order.”

After taking a look at the upper stretches of the OK Ditch, and considering the rising River level through, probably, next week, we are keeping water in the Ditch, letting folks irrigate/ water up, and will start Spring repairs when the River comes back down.

The OK Ditch goes out tomorrow, Tuesday April 4. Cleaning and repairs will be completed as soon as possible, so please complete work on your own section - clearing debris and any needed reconstruction - before water is returned to the Ditch within the next 2-weeks.
