Can you take a few minutes of your day to help sweet George, the rescue Pyrenees, today!? He has been with us for over TWO years, and it’s really time he finds a forever family. 🥹
I am sure you are wondering how two families could give up on this dog, but none of the reasons are truly his fault. His first family set him up to fail. They locked him up 24/7 with no social skills and no love or care, simply because they were too busy for him. 💔
By the time he got to his second home, he had his work cut out for him. It was a whole new way of life. From nothing to everything. He even had his very own sister he quickly became best friends with. 🥲
But sadly, his family was not the right family for him, and they were not able to manage a dog like George.
GPs need strong leaders; they are guardian dogs, they want to serve and protect, and if this is not regulated or managed, it can be misdirected. One day, George bit the dad, and unfortunately, that was all it took; George lost his home. 😔
We sent him directly to our trainer in San Diego, and there have been no bites and nothing even remotely close to one. His trainer told us yesterday that “I’ve had him for 2.5 years and he has never shown an inkling of wanting to bite someone. He’s a giant puppy.” 💖
We have tried to find George a home for many years now, and not one person has stepped up. We have even emailed every sanctuary we could think of to see if they wanted to welcome him in, and everyone is full. 🆘
Sweet George deserves a home. He would be a great adventure buddy or a lazy boy to take naps with. ⛰️
