Tax season is undoubtedly chaotic, but summer is around the corner, which means a slow season is coming. Firms want experienced hires, but experience has to be built somewhere. If we do not design intentional ways to develop the next generation, we will end up with a significant gap in our profession that will be very difficult to close.

Opinion: Both accounting firms and academia must design learning environments and curricula that will ensure the next generation of accountants develops AI fluency on top of critical thinking skills.
