❤️🤍💙On June 6, 1944—82 years ago today—more than 150,000 Allied troops launched the largest amphibious invasion in history. They weren't arriving on this beach for a summer day filled with sunshine, ice cream, and family memories. They were arriving under enemy fire, carrying the weight of freedom on their shoulders.

Soldiers, sailors, and Marines crossed the English Channel knowing many would never return home. Yet they went to Normandy anyway. Their courage helped liberate France, pushed back N**i tyranny, and changed the course of World War II. Today, we remember the heroes of D-Day not as figures in a history book, but as ordinary men who did extraordinary things when their nation—and the world—needed them most.

At Operation Restore Hope, we are grateful for the opportunity to support today's veterans while remembering those whose sacrifices shaped the world we live in today. May we continue to preserve their stories, honor their service, and ensure their legacy endures for generations to come. 🇺🇸

❤️🤍💙Every veteran has a story, and every story deserves to be remembered. At the 6th Annual Operation Restore Hope Veterans Golf Tournament on August 22, tribute signs placed throughout the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course will recognize the men and women who have served our nation.

Is there a veteran in your life—a parent, grandparent, spouse, sibling, friend, or fellow service member—whose service deserves to be honored? Whether they are still with us or have gone on before us, a personalized sign is a meaningful way to say, "Your service matters, and you are not forgotten."
For $100, you can sponsor a tribute sign that will be displayed on tournament day and seen by all 144 golfers and our many volunteers and supporters. Help us fill the course with the names of those who answered our nation's call.

❤️🤍💙When a veteran is ready to leave the hospital, coordinating a safe discharge plan is critical to ensure that the best outcomes occur and offer the safest transition back to home. Recently Operation Restore Hope received a call from the UPMC Veteran Care Services team, part of the life changing medical care provided by . Before being admitted, a plumbing leak at his Steelton home had left him without running water, creating a serious obstacle to his return home after hospitalization.

Knowing time was of the essence, Operation Restore Hope immediately reached out to our trusted community partner, G&R Westbrook of Boiling Springs. Their team responded quickly, and by the very next day—just before the veteran returned home—the leak had been repaired and running water was restored.

This is a perfect example of how community partnerships make a real difference in the lives of local veterans. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the willingness of businesses like G&R Westbrook to step up when help is needed, Operation Restore Hope is able to address urgent home safety issues and help veterans remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.

We extend our sincere thanks to UPMC Veteran Care Services team for connecting us with this veteran in need and to G&R Westbrook for their prompt and professional assistance.

❤️🤍💙Operation Restore Hope sends a huge shout out to our friends at Steaks and Hoagies! Owner Dave Foran and his team made us feel so welcome during our Dine to Donate event. The evening was a great success, and we had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people who support our Veterans and our mission. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the best cheesesteaks around!!

❤️🤍💙Operation Restore Hope was busy this Memorial Day weekend! Both Saturday and Monday found our volunteers at Boscov’s in Camp Hill, accepting donations for ORH through the “Helping Our Heroes” 15% off shopping pass event.

We are grateful to everyone who stopped by, shopped, donated, and supported our mission to help Veterans remain safe and independent in their homes. Thank you to Boscov's for including ORH in this wonderful program and for supporting those who served our country. 🇺🇸

❤️🤍💙ORH was happy to once again be part of the Camp Hill Memorial Day Parade this Memorial Day. The rain stopped just in time for us to step off and enjoy a wonderful community celebration honoring those who gave so much for our country.

A big thank you to all of our marchers who joined us in handing out beads and brochures and helping spread the word about who we are and what Operation Restore Hope is all about — helping Veterans remain safe and independent in their homes. We appreciate your support! 🇺🇸

❤️🤍💙Operation Restore Hope has been privileged to share our mission with the incredible staff at the Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital. Their team provides highly specialized care to help individuals rebuild their lives following injury or illness.
Just two weeks ago, ORH was honored to present a rollator to a young Army Veteran preparing for discharge from rehab. And during today’s visit, one of the therapists introduced us to another Veteran in need. This Army Vet recently underwent a leg amputation and will need handrails installed to safely enter and exit his home. Thanks to the partnership and communication between Helen Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital and Operation Restore Hope, we’re already working to make that happen.

This is exactly why ORH exists — to help keep our Veterans safe and independent in their homes.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such compassionate professionals who truly care about the long-term wellbeing of our Veterans. 🇺🇸
