Hi, everyone. I know it’s been forever since I have posted about how Mom is doing. I do apologize…truly. Our mom has an amazing tribe of people who have blessed her in countless ways and we’re so thankful for each of you.
While we were hoping that mom would be able to skip the dialysis part of this journey with her kidneys, it turns out that it just isn’t in the cards for her. Tomorrow we will check into the hospital for the surgery to place her peritoneal dialysis catheter.
In usual mom fashion, she planned on just being extra kind to her kidneys and smiling her way through the gradual decline in her numbers, always thinking that next time they would be better. Her faith and positivity have gotten her pretty far, but she’s reached the point that she’s gonna need some extra help.
I have no doubt that she’ll do well with her surgery tomorrow, but we will graciously accept all of the prayers for mom and her team of doctors that you can send their way!
I promise to post an update tomorrow to let everyone know when she is resting comfortably back at home. Thank you all for the support…mom always hates people to fuss over her, but I know it makes her feel so good to know that her friends are praying for her!
Off to bed for me now…we have a big day tomorrow. 🙏🏼💕
