Dear Cameron Flag Route Subscribers: Post 33 wants to wish you a blessed Father’s Day! Due to the inclement weather, the flags will not go out today. Our next scheduled holiday is INDEPENDENCE DAY! 🇺🇸 Thank you so much to our volunteers who give up time with their families to run the flag routes, and thank you community members for subscribing!!

Thanks to Mayor Becky Curtis, City Manager Scott Meszaros, Cameron Municipal Band and Director Ann Clark, Cameron Scouting Troops 87 and 8, and Zion Prep Academy JROTC for joining the American Legion and VFW to honor the Fallen. Special thanks to Larry Workman for the beautiful landscape services. May this Memorial Day bring us all peace and reflection. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to the VFW 3rd District Patriot’s Pen FIRST PLACE scholarship winner! Jonah Christopher, son of Joshua and Bethany Christopher of Lathrop, received his award this afternoon in St. Joseph and was asked to deliver his speech for all the District officers and Ladies Auxilliary members! There were over 100 people there! Jonah’s speech now advances to the State level at Jefferson City. Cameron VFW Post 7158 wishes Jonah the best! Read his essay in the comments!!

The Anerican Legion and all of its volunteers (including Boy Scouts and Optimist Club) want to thank the Cameron Community for your support and commitment to Flag Route 2025. We remember our Veterans and their families on this Pearl Harbor Day. The ground was to hard to drive stakes for the flags today, but we will be back in celebration and remembrance for Mother’s Day 2026!
