Our special guest reader today was Dean's mommy ☺️Miss Jessie read the book "You Got a Rock, Charlie Brown!". The kids made Charlie Brown's ghost costume, then snacked on some delicious "rock" candy. Thank you all and see you next Monday. Don't forget to dress up and bring treats for your friends.

Libby will soon require a PIN for login. You can make your PIN now to be ready. (Call the library if you need help.) Go to the Online Catalog: https://mlnapp.raleigh.lib.wv.us/ Select My Library (upper left). Enter your name, library card barcode number, and put in a PIN using letters and numbers (a minimum of six alpha-numeric characters). If you’re creating this PIN for the first time, you’ll need to re-enter it a couple times to confirm it. If you did this before, and you remember your PIN, you’re all set for when Libby asks for it. If you don’t remember your PIN, or can’t re-set it, or just want help, please CALL THE MOUNDSVILLE LIBRARY. We can make the PIN for you. If you rely on Libby for e-books and e-audiobooks, don’t wait until the last minute – be ready with your PIN now.

The storytime kids brought their siblings today for a fun time ☺️. They listened to the book Stumpkin", made a cute pumpkin craft, and looked for pumpkins hiding in the library. We will have a special guest reader next week. Hope to see you all Monday, Oct. 19.

Marshall County Welcomes Technical Sergeant Raymond Carl Richmond Home after 81 years. During World War II, Tech. Sgt. Richmond was shot down on April 2nd, 1945, and was taken to a Tokyo P.O.W. Prison. On May 26th, 1945, he died while imprisoned during the firebombing of Tokyo. On July 7th, 2026, his remains were identified by the DPAA.

On Wednesday, November 11th, he will arrive at PIT and will be escorted to Moundsville. After the Veterans Day Ceremony, where he will be honored. On November 13th there will be public visitation at Grisell Funeral Home in the evening. Saturday the 14th, there will be a midday funeral and a procession to Salem Church of Christ for a more private service.

The kids had 😊 today with Pete the Cat! They read the book "Pete the Cat and the Five Little Pumpkins", then they worked really hard to make a Pete and Pumpkin craft. They turned out great 😃 Thanks everyone and see you all next Monday.
