May is upon us, and with it, there is a sense of closure for many. For parents, students, and educational staff, there is an end of the school year. For many, we look at the close of the Spring season around Memorial Day at the end of this month, when we honor our soldiers, then we welcome in the "official" beginning of the Summer Season and everything that comes with it. Calmer, but hotter days. Travel for several of us. Hopefully, among these hours, we find time to contemplate both ourselves, the world around us, and our place in it. We all owe a debt to our fellow man and our community. Mosholatubbe Lodge #13 is proud to be a humble servant that will answer that call when given the opportunity.

URGENT NOTICES: Effective immediately, Mosholatubbe Lodge will now only meet on Wednesdays at noon. All meetings will be conducted at the pond behind Scott's place. Everyone is expected to be barefoot and bring a tacklebox or bait and a sandwich (or really tasty bait). All ritual work will be conducted in Mandurin or original Choctaw. Scott is stepping down from the East and is being replaced by Jordan, who, instead of Worshipful Master, will now be referred to as Your Most Awesome Dude-ness. In case you have not figured it out yet, April Fools. :) And Happy Easter.

Congratulations to Poteau Lodge #46 for their big win at last night at the Mosholatubbee Annual Pervasive Parenting Trivia Night! They were the highest scoring Masonic team and took home the Traveling Gavel of Knowledge which they will now display until our next annual event! We had a lot of fun and helped raise over $4000 for children with Special Needs!

We are sponsoring a trivia night for Pervasive Parenting tonight at Carl Albert State College. All profits go to help them and the work they do for special needs children in our area. Additionally, we are throwing down the gauntlet. The Masonic Lodge who shows up and gets the highest score tonight will walk away with this Traveling Gavel of Knowledge to display in their lodge for the next year until the next annual event 😀 The plaque was made and donated by Deatonshire Mercantile. So come enjoy the free food and fellowship for a great charitable cause and prove your lodge is the smartest in Aklahoma!

Happy Sunday, Brethren and Families,
Spring is upon us, and as always, The Lodge at Mosholatubbee is a beehive of activity. We have been busy this year with getting committees together, having our first Lodge School, and attending events all over the area. With all that said, we have not lost sight of the most important part of our duty: to our community. We have already given away much-needed funds to several organizations and individuals in need and hope to keep our ear to the ground for news of others we can aid, not just in Cameron but also in the surrounding areas of Eastern Oklahoma and beyond. Brotherhood never stops at the threshold of one's front door. One must go out long past the hedgerows of the countryside.
