The Three Missions Chapter, NSDAR, was formed in October of 1993, in Cameron, Texas, to serve all of Milam County. If you are interested in attending a meeting, or learning about the Three Missions Chapter, please message us! The Three Missions Chapter t
akes its name from three Spanish missions in Milam County which were in use, then abandoned, prior to 1755. While no photographs or drawings remain of those missions, archaeological digs have given us some idea of their size and layout. The missions are all marked with Texas Historical Markers. Three Missions is part of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing American's future through better education. Vibrant, active women are the heart of the organization and its timeless principles keep the DAR strong and vitally relevant in this ever-changing world. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible.
