Cameron Lions Club Program: Pasture Pests & Screwworm Updates
At Mondayโs Cameron Lions Club meeting, County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Josh Evans, with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Milam County, presented an informative program on pasture pests and the latest developments regarding new world screwworm.
Josh discussed pasture mealybugs, including how to identify them, their life cycle, the problems they can cause, and treatment options. He also provided an update on the new world screwworm, sharing current information about this important agricultural concern, how screwworms live and develop, how to recognize them, and ways producers can help protect livestock.
We appreciate Josh taking the time to share his expertise and keep our Cameron Lions Club members informed about issues that impact our local agricultural community.
Thank you, Josh, for an informative and timely program!
