This week at the RTJ Hub, we brought STEM and financial literacy together for a fun, hands-on learning experience!
Our youth took on the challenge of building protective armor for their eggs. Each participant was given a budget and had to make strategic decisions about which materials they could afford to build the best protection possible.
Once the designs were complete, it was time for the egg drop challenge! Youth tested their creations, saw which designs could withstand the fall, and learned firsthand about engineering, problem-solving, budgeting, and the importance of making thoughtful financial decisions.
At the RTJ Hub, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. By combining creativity, teamwork, STEM, and financial literacy, we give our youth opportunities to build real-world skills while having fun.
Learning by doing, building through creativity, and preparing our youth for the future!
