Our RiverGuides are Camden students who spend their summer in our Experiential Learning program being trained to lead on-the-water tours for community members, schools, partner groups, and visitors from across the region.

Through their training, they learn how to safely guide paddlers while sharing the story of Camden from a perspective most people never get to see—right from the rivers that run through it. These aren’t just boat rides. They’re guided experiences that blend history, ecology, and lived perspective.

We are grateful for the dedicated Board Members who help guide UrbanPromise’s mission and future.

Last week, Robert Hill was elected Board Chair, and we celebrated the conclusion of Mike Byrne’s tenure as Board Chair. Both Robert and Mike have made significant contributions to UrbanPromise, and we are deeply thankful for their leadership and service.

We also welcomed several new board members and are excited for the next chapter of impact ahead.

It’s Boat Launch Saturday!🛶

A huge shoutout to our staff and volunteers who spent the year helping students build more than just canoes—they built confidence, skills, and the greatest ships of all: relationships.

Celebrating the last day of Chapel with the best form of sugar out there—ICE CREAMMM 🍦😎

Every Friday, our CamdenForward School students gather together for Chapel—a time to learn, reflect, encourage one another, and start the day with purpose. To celebrate the final Chapel of the school year, we topped things off with a sweet treat and plenty of smiles.

A sweet ending to a very sweet school year. 🍨❤️
