One of our favorite things in the Adopted by a Mustang book series is the educational focus. From "How to Read a Mustang Freezebrand" to "Water/Air/Sunlight experiments" there are a lot of "side pages"with fun, educational info.

We especially love the spread that features "Horses for Mental Health!" This first edition of Congaree: The Little Black Mustang From Arapaho Creek mentions the "Seen Through Horses" campaign, but Julianne will make an adjustment to that wording in the second edition...

Don't forget, proceeds from book sales of the series are designed to support the wellbeing of the horses in our programs!

Flashback to the SEEN Through Horses Campaign for Horses for Mental Health in 2024~ Emma Lane has since graduated, but the current University of South Carolina Equestrian Team recently celebrated a victory as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! Congratulations Gamecocks!

This SEEN Through Horses story features Emma Lane, one of the AMAZING riders with the South Carolina Equestrian Team. You'll hear why horses and being on the team are so important to her...as a college athlete it can be hard to balance all of the expectations of campus life, but being around the horses at One Wood Farm is one way to do just that!

As a college athlete it can be hard to balance all of the expectations of campus life, but Jordan Allen has been able to handle things incredibly well ...in part through her connections with the horses at One Wood Farm! During her time on the Gamecock South Carolina Equestrian Team, horses helped her balance campus life with her other responsibilities.

Special thanks to Gamecock Head Coach Boo Major for facilitating our visit and CONGRATULATIONS to Boo on retirement after an AMAZING career!!!
