Beginning on or about Monday, September 14, 2026, construction will transition into Phase B of the Haddon Avenue Improvements Project, from Kaighns Avenue
to Euclid Avenue.
Haddon Avenue will generally operate under a soft closure within the project limits,
allowing local access to businesses and residences. Full road closures and signed detours will be implemented only within active construction areas as work progresses segment by segment. Access conditions may change from day to day as crews move through the corridor, and the construction schedule may be adjusted based on field conditions.
Here is some important information to know about the detour:
Local access will generally be maintained. Businesses and residences outside active construction areas will remain accessible. Please follow posted signs and directions from police and construction personnel.
Emergency and pedestrian access will be maintained. Temporary walkways, ramps, and other accommodations will be provided where needed.
Driveway access, deliveries, and loading will be coordinated as construction progresses. Short-term interruptions may occasionally be necessary to complete work safely, with advance notice provided whenever possible.
Trash and recycling collection will continue. Please place trash and recycling out each evening for early morning pickup.
Public transportation may be temporarily adjusted. Temporary signs will identify any changes to bus routes or stops.
