🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY 🕊️

Edius Gilbert
25 August 2003 – 26 May 2026.

“With God, all things are possible.”
— Matthew 19:26

Seeds of Promise mourns the passing of our beloved brother, friend, and faithful youth member, Edius Gilbert.

Edius was a hardworking, active, and devoted member who served passionately in different departments including:
• Seeds Trekkers
• UP & W
• Farm Department

His love for God, dedication to service, humility, and joyful spirit touched many lives within the Seeds of Promise family.

Though his journey on earth was short, his impact will remain in our hearts forever.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the Gilbert family, friends, fellow youths, and everyone affected by this loss.

May the Lord comfort every heart and grant eternal rest to His servant.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
— Matthew 5:4

Forever remembered.
Forever loved.
Forever part of the Seeds of Promise family.

Celebrating 10 Years of Seeds of Promise — Growing Hope, Creating Opportunity, Advancing God’s Kingdom

This year, Seeds of Promise celebrates 10 years of God’s faithfulness—ten years of growing food to feed children, mentoring young people through entrepreneurship training, and opening doors through college scholarships and our Rent-to-Buy sewing machine initiative.

Today, we are excited to share another milestone.

By God’s grace, we have received 6 sewing machines for our second Threads of Promise Hub Center in Kanyerere Village. This hub will serve alumni trained through Threads of Promise, a TEVETA-accredited program, helping young people move from training into sustainable business ownership.

And there is more good news: after a long search, God has provided us with a space in the Kanyerere marketplace—a strategic place where our alumni can serve customers, build businesses, and become a visible witness for Christ in their community.

This is about more than sewing.
It is job creation.
It is dignity and opportunity.
It is Kingdom advancement in the marketplace.
It is living out the Great Commission by equipping and sending young people into their communities through business and service.

Our vision is to launch 50 businesses by developing village hub centers that create lasting impact for families and communities.

As we celebrate ten years, we invite you to stand with us:
🙏 Pray for our alumni as they launch and grow Kingdom-minded businesses.
❤️ Give toward improving and equipping the Kanyerere Sewing Hub Center to become a thriving and welcoming workspace.
📢 Share this story and help others join this mission.

Together, we can make this 10-year celebration more than memorable—we can make it life-changing for the young people we serve and the communities they will impact.

Thank you for being part of the story God is writing through Seeds of Promise.

A Fresh Start at Seeds of Promise

It’s been a while since we last shared with you—but we’ve been working.

Farming has not been easy. With seasonal changes and the challenges of growing sensitive crops, we’ve faced setbacks that reminded us how fragile traditional methods can be. But instead of stepping back, we chose to step forward.

Today, we’re excited to share a new chapter: our greenhouse project. This space is more than just a structure—it’s a shift toward modern farming. Here, we are growing tomatoes and yellow peppers using improved methods that help us manage climate challenges, protect our crops, and produce consistently.

Why does this matter?

Because this is not just about farming. It’s about sustainability. It’s about creating a reliable source of food and income. And most importantly, it strengthens other programs—like our children’s feeding initiative—ensuring that we can continue to support and nourish our community.

04/25/2026

Our effort to fighting extreme poverty through sustainable farming and entrepreneurship is derailed by climate change. We can't keep quiet but to be the voice of environmental awareness and climate change that affects our mission to fight poverty. Become a voice of change. Together we can fight the cycle of generational poverty.

🎉 10 Years of Impact – Threads of Promise 🎉
With hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate a decade of raising missional entrepreneurs—young people transformed from job seekers into job creators, advancing God’s Kingdom through business, purpose, and service.

Over the past 10 years, we have seen lives changed, dignity restored, and hope ignited. What began as a vision has grown into a movement—one that equips young people not just to earn a living, but to live with a mission.

And now, we are stepping into our next chapter…
✨ The 50 Alumni Commissioning Campaign ✨
We are excited to send out 50 Threads of Promise alumni into “God’s business” through a Rent-to-Buy Sewing Machine Project.
Here’s the vision: Each graduate receives a sewing machine to start a business. As they grow, they repay it—not to us—but forward to fund another machine for another young person.
👉 One machine becomes two.
👉 Fifty alumni become one hundred.
👉 Businesses multiply.
👉 Lives are transformed.
This is more than a project—it’s a ripple effect of hope, dignity, and sustainable impact.

🙏 Partner With Us
We invite you to be part of this mission in meaningful ways:
• Pray – Cover our alumni as they step out in faith and purpose
• Give – Sponsor a sewing machine with a gift of $250
• Mentor – Walk alongside an alumnus through coaching and encouragement
• Go – Plan a short mission trip and serve with us at the farm
• Support – Give through our UPI-linked donation page

As we celebrate this milestone, we are filled with thankfulness for the journey, appreciation for every partner, and hope for the future.
Together, we are not just creating businesses—we are raising a generation of purpose-driven leaders.

✨ Slogan:
Together, shifting young people from job seekers to job creators.

Even when life is hard, this day reminds us that hope is not lost. From pain comes new life, and from darkness comes light. Be strong and keep your faith.

May this Good Friday bring you peace and comfort. Stay blessed and keep hope in your heart as we wait for the joy of Easter.

Seeds of Promise Weekly Reflection

This week has been a powerful and impactful journey for Seeds of Promise. Over the past six days, we had the privilege of training community leaders and departmental visionary leaders in key areas such as teamwork and collaboration, as well as Micro-Enterprise Development (MED).

The week was enriched further through our “Seeds Has Talent” event on Saturday, where participants joyfully shared their gifts, talents, and skills. It was a beautiful expression of creativity, confidence, and community.

We concluded the week with a meaningful Sunday worship service. Pastor Paul and Andy reminded us of the three key areas Jesus emphasized—faith, forgiveness, and the greatest commandment: to love God and love one another. This message anchored everything we had learned throughout the week.

In summary, this was more than just a training week. It was a time of equipping leaders with practical skills and knowledge for effective servant leadership and sustainable micro-enterprise development. Even more importantly, it was a time of transformation—spiritually, socially, and economically.

As we celebrate 10 years of service in our country, Seeds of Promise stands thankful for the journey, grateful for the friends and partners who walk alongside us, and hopeful for the future as we continue to transform the lives of children and youth for God’s glory.

On this Martyrs’ Day, we pause to remember the heroes whose sacrifice shaped our nation.

Their courage reminds us that true change requires commitment, unity, and service.

As Seeds of Promise, we choose to honor their legacy by investing in youth, community development, and a better tomorrow for Malawi. 🇲🇼

Today we wrapped up our month as UP&W (Unity, Prayer & Worship) with a leadership training on Servant Leadership.

A simple but deep reminder:
God first. Others second. Myself last.

Leadership is not about position — it’s about serving.

We also shared boiled fresh maize 🌽 from our own farm. Such a small thing, but it reminded us of unity, teamwork and how God continues to provide for us.

Grateful for the growth. Grateful for the fellowship. Most of all, grateful to God for every blessing.
