The votes are in and we are so grateful for all the hard work of so many individuals! This has been a long and wild road, and there is still work to be done! Hopefully we can all move forward with kindness! We share our gratitude!

Camden turned out at the polls June 10 with approximately 2,000 residents casting ballots (almost 800 of those were absentee ballots) on a variety of proposals. With preliminary numbers reported at the polls by town staff, residents approved a proposal to remove the Montgomery Dam at the head of Cam...

today is the day! See link for the info on everything else you’re voting on and get there before 8pm to vote yes on 7 or turn in the absentee ballot you already picked up.

The polling location for today's (June 10) Town Meeting elections and voting is the Public Safety Building at 31 Washington Street. Polls are open until 8 p.m. and voters can register there too, if they haven't already. Look for the fire engine parked in front, enter at the side door. The adjacent parking lot is open to voters only today, so please find an alternative for long-term parking and other business downtown. (Behind the Knox Mill, across the street, is a great option to park all day!)

Big thank you to Coastal Mountains Land Trust for their incredible leadership on this and other issues. Take a walk along the Mt Battie Street section of the riverwalk tomorrow where this photo was taken and go vote yes on 7!

As stewards of more than 2,165 acres in the Megunticook River Watershed and immediate neighbors to the river, Coastal Mountains Land Trust believes that the Megunticook River Citizens Advisory Council’s recommendation to restore the Megunticook River is worthy of close consideration.

After much discussion, our Board of Directors approved our organization’s endorsement of a yes vote on article 7.
