One of the highest honors bestowed upon a Past Master is to be asked to install the officers of his Lodge.

It was with great humility and a grateful heart that I accepted this invitation and had the distinct honor and pleasure of installing the officers of Camden Lodge No. 159, F&AM of Ohio, for the 2027 Masonic year.

My heartfelt congratulations to Worshipful Brother Philip Gene Lakatos and all the newly installed officers of Camden Lodge.

I have every confidence in Worshipful Brother Lakatos and his ability to govern his Lodge with wisdom, strength, and dedication. I am equally confident in the junior officers who will follow in his footsteps, carrying forward the time honored traditions, principles, and ancient landmarks of our beloved Fraternity.

For 178 years, Camden Lodge has stood as a testament to Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. It is now the responsibility and privilege of these officers to preserve that proud legacy and ensure that the light of Masonry continues to shine brightly for generations yet to come.

To my good and faithful Brethren, may your year be filled with harmony, prosperity, and the satisfaction that comes from laboring together in the quarries of Freemasonry.

Journey on, my good and faithful Brethren.

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that I share the terrible news I awoke to this morning.

Worshipful Brother Alan “Al” Rinser, Worshipful Master of Eastern Star Lodge No. 55, F&AM of Ohio, has laid down his working tools and been called from his earthly labors to the Celestial Lodge Above.

What a tremendous and heartbreaking blow it is to a Masonic Lodge to lose its sitting Worshipful Master. The loss of a Brother is always painful, but to lose the Brother who sits in the East, entrusted with the leadership and care of his Lodge, is a sorrow that words can scarcely express.

I ask that you please keep the Brethren of Eastern Star Lodge No. 55 in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Most importantly, please lift up Al’s family in prayer, asking the Great Architect of the Universe to grant them strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

I will share funeral arrangements as soon as they become available.

And to you, my dear Worshipful Brother Risner, your earthly labors are finished, your working tools have been laid aside, and your column has been broken.

Bright and glorious may it be on the morning of the Lord’s resurrection. Until then, my Brother, peaceful be thy sleep.

On behalf of the Worshipful Master, Wardens, and Brethren of Camden Lodge No. 159 F&AM of Camden, Ohio, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Worshipful Brother Cullen Phillips, Past Master and Secretary of Bolivar Lodge No. 82 F&AM in Eaton, Ohio, on being selected as the Second District Officers Association Mason of the Year and receiving the prestigious MWB Neil Smalley Award!

WB Phillips has demonstrated exemplary character, unwavering dedication, and outstanding leadership throughout the reorganization and transition of his Lodge into its new building. Through his tireless efforts, alongside those of his esteemed Brethren, Bolivar Lodge continues to make tremendous strides in preserving its rich Masonic heritage and ensuring that future generations may experience the beauty, fellowship, and timeless principles of Freemasonry in Eaton, Ohio.

His commitment to the Craft, his Lodge, and his Brethren truly exemplifies what it means to be a Mason!

Congratulations, my Brother, on this well deserved honor and a job exceptionally well done! May your continued dedication to our beloved Fraternity serve as an inspiration to Masons throughout our great jurisdiction. You remind us that we get to do this, and you certainly own it!

Yesterday, we welcomed eight new Master Masons to Camden Lodge No. 159, F&AM. It is a journey that I truly believe you will never regret taking.

While the ceremonies yesterday were beautiful and meaningful, I wholeheartedly encourage each of you to return to your lodge and become true and faithful brothers among us. Your lodge needs you. Your lodge wants you. Most importantly, we want you to feel like you are a part of Camden Lodge.

You don’t have to be an officer to make a difference. We simply want you to come, enjoy your lodge, feel comfortable, meet new brothers, and discover what our fraternity is truly about.

I congratulate you on taking your next step toward Light, but remember, my Brothers, the Light never ends. The journey never ends. There is a wealth of knowledge available to you, and every degree is just the beginning of a lifetime of learning.

The look a past master gets when he hears that there’s actual work at his lodge! Camden Lodge’s stated meeting is tomorrow: doors open at 6 PM with light refreshments, and the meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Two candidates will receive the EA degree. Officers should wear coat and tie; brethren, business casual.
