It was such a treat meeting the extended Truitt family and welcoming them back home to Cropwell. Margaret's stories of worship here in the late 1920s were delightful. Thanks to Evesham Township for their quick work organizing this and inviting us to participate in this lovely visit.

We had a wonderful visit by 103 year old Margaret Adele McGee, who told us charming stores of worshiping at Cropwell Meeting in the 1920s! She was joined by fellow members of the extended Truitt family, who trace their local ancestry back to the 1830s. An opportunity to socialize with Friends from across South Jersey, plus planning for an upcoming open house. -

Summertime is giving us its last hurrah but the ceiling fan is on and the screen doors open to give nice breezes in the meetinghouse every Sunday morning.

Last week Cropwell Meeting took a delightful trip to Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in nearby Medford for a guided tour by our very own Julia Thomas, who has been working there this summer.

We started the day with 10am worship, of course, then had a potluck in the meetinghouse followed by carpooling to the refuge. The trip allowed some extended family members to join us for the event.

In the summer the meetinghouse keeps cool and breezy as we keep our doors open, bringing in the sounds of outside ministry from the hawks and wildlife who live on our property. Quaker worship is open to all. Come join us any Sunday morning at 10am.

Upcoming events over the next few weeks include a talk on the Sermon on the Mount and a Quarterly Meeting presentation on the Pine Barrens.

On the second Sunday of every month we stay after worship to discuss everything from finances to property needs to upcoming events. Visitors are welcome to participate and see Quaker process in action! Email me with any agenda items.
