The Igniting Innovation Summit on Social Entrepreneurship unites students, academics, and leaders in the field who are passionate about constructing innovative solutions to today's most pressing social issues. Over the past four years, the Summit has grown from a small-scale initiative of Harvard students to a nationally recognized forum for social change. The sixth annual Summit will explore wide

-ranging themes, from educational technology, to for-profit for good models, to local food + sustainability, through TED-style talks, topic-specific discussion panels, practical skill-development workshops, and an Innovation Showcase. In the past, attendees have enjoyed keynote addresses by Paul Rice, President & CEO of Fair Trade USA, and Lara Galinsky, Senior Vice President of Echoing Green. The annual Summit has been featured on Forbes.com, The Guardian UK and DoSomething.org, and has hosted guests such as David Gergen of CNN, John Paul DeJoria of John Mitchell Systems and The Patron Spirits Company, and Cheryl Dorsey of Echoing Green. In addition, the Summit attracts talented young entrepreneurs from around the nation through its Social Venture Challenge, hosted in collaboration with The Resolution Project. The Challenge allows Summit attendees to build teams and submit their plans for actual social ventures, in America or abroad, that make a positive impact today. Every year, The Resolution Project provides Fellowships, including grants of up to US $3,000 and personalized advisory support, to the winning teams and their ventures.
