🧬 What is iGEM?
Imagine using biology to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges—from developing sustainable materials to improving healthcare and protecting our environment. That’s exactly what iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) is all about.

iGEM is the world’s largest synthetic biology competition, bringing together students from across the globe to design innovative biological solutions to real-world problems. But it’s more than just a competition—it’s an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact through science.

At BOSLab, we believe biotechnology should be accessible to everyone. Through our iGEM program, students gain hands-on laboratory experience, work alongside mentors, and become part of a supportive community passionate about innovation and open science.

Whether you’re interested in biology, engineering, computer science, design, business, or science communication, there’s a place for you on an iGEM team.

🚀 Follow along as we share more about synthetic biology, our iGEM journey, and ways to get involved with BOSLab!

💬 Have questions about iGEM? Drop them in the comments—we’d love to hear from you!

We’ve pushed SYNBIO101 back by a week, which means there’s still time to grab one of the last seats.
Two Saturdays of real lab work for teens 13-15. No demos, no watching from the sidelines. You load the pipette. You handle the cells. You add the DNA. Instructors coach at your bench, not over your shoulder.
